Betta Milk was established by a group of business-savvy dairymen as a cooperative in 1956. Over the years, new suppliers and employees have joined Betta Milk, helping it grow into the highly successful and thriving business it is today.

Betta Milk is an unlisted public company with the majority of shareholders being direct descendants of the original group of dairymen.

Betta Milk’s head office is located at its original site at Old Surrey Road in Burnie, on the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania. It provides direct employment for around 50 people.

Betta is a milk processor with both processing and packaging facilities. Milk is received from local dairies, and is then pasteurised, homogenised, packaged and distributed. Distribution centres are located in Launceston and Hobart. The centres receive fresh stocks on a regular basis, and then supply Tasmanian communities with deliciously fresh dairy products.
